Their website says ‘it’s not obvious, but life moves slower here’ and it may be a cliché but this time, it’s true! The Tanjong Beach Club – or TBC to the locals – is an idyllic bar, restaurant and club on Singapore’s best beach where you can escape the relentless thousand-mile-an-hour pace of the city and chill out like an expert.
Think LA-minimalism, a clientele of beautiful people, a beautiful pool, massive beds and a relaxed, laid back vibe where you can sip a cool cocktail of a glass of Champagne and munch on brunch, burgers, top-notch seafood and salads while listening to the sea softly crash in front of you.
In the week, TBC is a place to get out the city for a little R&R but at the weekend, expect a party full of Singapore’s coolest millennials who will come in, kick off their sandals or stilettos and party on the beach to great food, tasty, beautifully prepared food and cool beats from the city’s best DJs.
Cocktails are in the S$16 – S$20 range and a three-litre bottle of Absolut will cost you the business end of S$800 but there’s plenty in the middle to keep you occupied but the star of the show has to be the sunset. Get a big bed, a couple of Singapore Slings and your favourite person and get set for a night you’ll never forget.
