MacRitchie Reservoir

MacRitchie Reservoir Park
Singapore 298717

The MacRitchie Reservoir Park contains Singapore’s largest reservoir and at almost any time of the day or night you’ll find nature lovers, joggers, kayaking and canoeing adrenaline-rushers and people who love the outdoors.

The famous TreeTop Walk – the first of its kind in the world – is your chance to walk high above the trees on a S$1.6m free-standing suspension bridge between the two highest points in the park, Bukit Pierce and Bukit Kalang. At its highest point the walkway is 25m up and is 250m long so you may not want to look down though!

Up high, you’ll get a birds-eye view of the action above the canopy including around 80 species of beautifully-colourful forest birds, flying lemurs, squirrels, monitor lizards and long-tailed macaques as well as a panoramic vista of the Upper Pierce Reservoir.

It’s important to note that the TreeTop Walk is a long walk from the Reservoir Park (around 4.5km) and a round trip around the MacRitchie Trails is between 7-10km so be prepared for a hike and keep sunscreen and water with you at all times.

There is a great ‘fitness corner’ where people can exercise as well as monthly expert-led tours of the ‘Macaques of MacRitchie’. The long walk aside, it’s worth it to see some of the most amazing wildlife in Singapore and on a sunny day, there are few better days out!
