Uluru-Kata Tjuta
Yulara Drive
NT 0872 Australia

Heading to the Red Centre (you can fly to Ayers Rock airport from Darwin or Adelaide via Alice Springs in around three hours), Longitude 131 is situated at the gateway to iconic Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, renowned as the spiritual heart of Australia.

Fifteen luxury, intimate tents in a ‘sanctuary of earthly elegance’ are elevated above the ochre red dunes, providing a private place to gaze in wonder as the sun rises over Uluru.

Each tent offers bespoke-designed furniture and the full-length windows offer quite the most remarkable view from any bed you will have ever slept, the majestic Ayers Rock.

A beautiful en-suite bathroom, plush robes and textured indigenous artwork are complemented by wireless internet, iPads and all the 21st century mod-cons expected of a first-class hotel.

The camp’s central Dune House is a stunning meeting place to share your stories of the desert and you can enjoy outback fare in the Dune House Restaurant. Seek light relief from the heat by taking a dip in the luxurious on-site swimming pool and all meals, drinks and touring are included in your stay.

Fly to tropical Darwin, three hours from Ayers Rock by plane, and head to the Sky City resort, which has an award-winning five-star beachside hotel and resort.

Here, you can enjoy an infinity pool, beachside lagoon with white sand and the Endota day spa and sauna. Rooms have iPod docking stations, private balconies and even pillow menus.
