Seven million people a year come to this amazing, 15-km stretch of Singaporean coastline and there’s so much to do, you won’t know where to start!
At 185 hectares, it’s the largest park in the Garden City and it was built on reclaimed land and includes an amazing man-made beach. There’s BBQ pits, watersports, food and drink places, cycling loops and an inline skating track that runs round the perimeter.
The 17.5km cycle loop from Pasir Ris Town Park to East Coast Park passes through open grasslands, freshwater wetlands and lush trees as you ride by Tampines Eco Green and Bedok Reservoir Park. There are lots of refreshment spots along the way, including the East Coast Lagoon Food Centre for some of the best chicken wings in the city!
There’s so much to keep everyone occupied including the adrenaline-fuelled Xtreme SkatePark (actually built to international competition standards), LilliPutt mini-golf, sailing, fishing, beach clubs and bowling amongst many other great things to do. Don’t forget you’re mere steps away from a stunning sandy beach and the actual sea!
You won’t be stuck for things to do and the same goes if you’re hungry or thirsty. There are plenty of restaurants, from hawker stalls to bars, cafés and sit-down restaurants serving almost everything you (and the kids) could want including just the eight seafood restaurants at the East Coast Seafood Centre!
