NSW 2481 Australia

Byron Bay is Australia’s most easterly point and home to an off-beat surf culture, lush green rainforests, stunning national parks, some of the best driving roads in Australia, waters teeming with wildlife and a very chilled, almost bohemian vibe.

It sits 800km north of Sydney and the weather is perfect for summer (21°C – 28°C) and perfect for winter (15°C – 21°C) so there’s no excuses not to get out there and explore one of the most beautiful spots in New South Wales!

If water is your thing, you can kayak with dolphins, go whale watching, snorkel, surf and scuba, ride horses along the beach and you can even see Australia’s first sunrise turn the Cape Byron Lighthouse a gorgeous shade of pink! How about hang gliding, a hot air balloon ride or drive rugged 4x4s through the waterfalls?

Byron Bay is famous for alternative healing so you can indulge your inner chi at any number of sanctuaries and spas at retreats, you can walk mile after mile of rainforests, cliffs, beaches, even an ancient volcano as well as in Mount Warning and Nightcap National Parks and at the base of Minyon Falls, the night vision bushwalk is something you’ll never, ever forget.

There really is something for everyone at Byron Bay including beautiful hotels with sensational views and restaurants showcasing wonderfully fresh seasonal ingredients and some of the most famous wines in the world.

On any trip to New South Wales, Byron Bay is a ‘must see!’
