Singapore Bars & Clubs

The Club Hotel
28 Ann Siang Road
Singapore 069708

According to The Club’s website, the refurbished B28 basement bar ‘is still very much geared at helping the dressed-up gentleman feel distinguished’ and the whisky-serious menu features over 100 labels with a focus on Scottish single malts including a 1977 Glencadam at S$1,800 a bottle, a 1954 Glenfarclas at S$4,500 and a Macallan from 1969 at an eye-watering S$6,375.

During the refurb, they carved out a performance corner where some of Singapore’s best live jazz artists perform on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and it gets pretty packed on weekends so get there early and expect to pay a door charge of S$15 on Friday and Saturday.

Food comes in the form of small plates such as seared Wagyu beef with roasted parsnip and a soy glaze, Angus beef sliders and pan-fried truffle and brie brioche bun but it’s not the food that people come to B28 for, it’s the weekend-cool jazz riffs, excellent whisky and the underground vibe.
