If you’re heading to Singapore in March, get ready to enjoy some of the best weather of the year – it’s relatively dry and temperate during spring. Here are five great events to include in your March itinerary:

Get inspired at Singapore Design Week

Local artists and international creators discuss innovation, showcase their work and host a variety workshops – try your hand at recycled art or learn about electro-etching to create metal jewelry. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates good design in everything from furniture to wallpaper, prints to fashion, architecture to robots. Get a glimpse of the future and meet fellow creatives on March 5 – 18.

Hit up the International Comedy Festival

One of the best ways to get to know local culture is to find out what makes the locals laugh. It also makes for a great night out and, with the comedy festival covering four days, you’ll be able to catch multiple shows from both international and local comedians. March 8 – 11. Clarke Quay Singapore.

Head to StreetFest

Expect death-defying, out-of-this-world performances on view at the Fountain Square during this festival. See everything from people jumping on stilts (it’s a thing) to one of the strongest women in the world flexing her muscle skills. You can also catch extreme magic tricks, acrobats and circus performers.  March 13-18. Clarke Quay Fountain Square Singapore.

Soak up i Light Marina Bay

Spend your evenings taking in the stunning light art installations at Asia’s first sustainable light festival. Stroll along the water while you admire dazzling decorations and stop to snack at the street food stalls. There will also be DJs and music, should you wish to dance in rhythm to the lights. March 9 – April 1, Marina Bay Waterfront.

See professional golfers compete

If you love a game of golf, don’t miss the HSBC Women’s Champions, where 63 competitors battle it out for the $1.5-million prize on one of the world’s top-100 golf courses. Wear sunscreen, bring a hat and get ready for a great day out to see who will be crowned the winner. March 1 – 4. Sentosa Golf Club.
