Singjazz Club

The Sultan Hotel
101 Jalan Sultan #02-00
Singapore 199002

Located in the indie-chic Kampong Glam area, the Singjazz Club is, according to their website, ‘Singapore’s premier destination for jazz and music lovers alike’ and it’s hard to argue.

Inside the 64-room boutique Sultan hotel that combines old-world charm with contemporary cool, the Singjazz Club is run by the same people who put on the Singjazz Festival every year and shines a much-needed spotlight on Singapore’s local and regional jazz artists.

The club ‘presents the joy, excitement and energy of live music in an intimate and beautiful music hall environment’ and past performers have included Jeremy Monteiro, Albare, Alex Sipiagin, Richard Jackson, Ezra Brown and The Steve Mcqueens as well as local singer-songwriters Dawn Ho, Dylan Foster and Alicia Pan.

There’s no food and the drinks menu is relatively sparse but don’t let that put you off! It’s a jazz club where people come to hear people-pleasing pop-jazz and recently they have upped the ante by experimenting with soul, funk and house DJs as well as live sax and percussion from some of Singapore’s best session musicians.
