Changi Museum and Chapel

1000 Upper Changi Road North
Singapore 507707

During the Second World War, Singaporean prisoners of war and civilians were imprisoned by the Japanese in Changi Prison, which was in use between 1942 and 1945. You can learn about this tragic period in the city’s history at the thought-provoking Changi Museum, where visitors can view photographs, drawings and letters by prisoners and join a 45-minute guided tour around the site. Nearby, there are plenty of other sites of significant historic interest, including Changi Village, Changi Beach, old Changi Jail and Selarang Barracks.
