A cold beer on a boiling hot day is manna from heaven but at the eighth Beerfest Asia, there are 500 types of commercial and craft beers to choose from!
From 16th – 19th June at the Marina Promenade you can indulge in your love of beer with a free one with your entry ticket to get you started and then start on the sampling platters from the hundreds on offer! A single glass of beer costs around S$5 but the tasting platters are between S$6-8 for 6 x 50ml beers. And the massive menu includes beers that have never been sold in Singapore – until now!
The entertainment includes some of the best tribute bands in the business including Slippery When Wet (Bon Jovi), Major Tom (David Bowie), Greg Andrew as Sir Elton John, Abbafab (guess who) and Killer Queen (the clue is in the title).
There’s some great stand-up comedy from Canadian multi-award-winner Lars Callieou and ‘one man tour de force’ Wes Zaharuk, aka The Prop Man.
Don’t think Beerfest Asia is just for the grown-ups! Of course no-one under the age of 18 can drink but the kids can have a ball at the Brew Kids Playard with a bouncy castle, arts and crafts, and all sorts of cool stuff!
The highlight (and some Singaporeans say it should be an Olympic sport) is the Great Beerfest Beer Pong Tournament where teams compete not only for the all-important bragging rights but a trophy and cash prizes!
Beerfest Asia is lots of fun for the whole family but remember, the weather’s very hot so along with the great beers, drink plenty of water and please always drink responsibly.
