Halloween is creeping up on us, so let’s take a look at some spookily good events in Singapore for fright-night…
Halloween Horror Nights
Deep in the depths of Sentosa Island lies a gruesome and haunted theme park… don’t worry, it’s just Universal Studios Singapore – but it’s unveiling its dark side this Halloween. There are thrilling live shows, two brilliantly dreadful scare zones and five horrible haunted houses to explore (as if the regular rides aren’t scary enough).
On selected nights up to 29 October.
Horror Haunt: School of Horrors
Escape rooms and murder-mysteries are all the craze at the moment. This haunted house tells the spine-tingling story of a girl who mysteriously died in the school toilet. Fun! You and your friends must go on an adventure to unveil the mystery of this murder, aided by creepy clues scattered around the school-themed house. The first 75 brave folks to solve the murder case will win vouchers to a movie at the Cathay Cineplexes.
Feast at The Edge
Celebrate the night of Halloween by wining and dining at the Edge’s ‘Spooktacular Feast’. There will be an almighty buffet with terribly tasty Halloween-themed treats, from ‘Mummy’s womb chicken roulade’ (shudder) to the slightly less-terrifying-sounding ‘Ghostly Meringue Lemon Tart’. Tickets include unlimited soft drinks, tea and coffee. It’s the most delicious way to kick-off Halloween with family and friends.
31 October only.
If you’re after family-friendly thrills…
There are plenty of family-friendly Halloween activities to seek out, too. Until 4 November, Universal Studios has family-friendly Halloween-themed zones, where kids can have fun with their favourite freaky characters from Sesame Street. S.E.A Aquarium are having ‘spooky seas’ sessions, where divers will be dressed up in Halloween-attire and kids can learn about the creepier creatures of the deep blue… It’s going to be spooktacular. Better yet, children under 12 get 50 per cent off their S.E.A Aquarium ticket.
