Fancy celebrating Christmas and New Year in style in the Lion City? Singapore dazzles all year round, but it’s particularly magical during the festive season. Here’s a little taster of the winter delights that await you in December…
Christmas Wonderland 2019
If you’re dreaming of a white (tropical) Christmas, take note: Christmas Wonderland sees Singapore’s iconic Gardens by the Bay transformed into a winsome winter extravaganza. We’re talking festive stalls, lavish decorations, carnival rides and games, and musicians performing yuletide tunes. Visitors to Orchard Road can browse covetable souvenirs, admire whimsical street decorations, take advantage of seasonal discounts and enjoy games and performances at Christmas on A Great Street. Resorts World™ Sentosa (RWS) will be celebrating a very special RWS Christmas: guests can meet their favourite Universal Studios Singapore™ characters, tuck into special menus by celebrity-chef-toting restaurants and enjoy Christmas-themed activities in the S.E.A. Aquarium™ and Adventure Cove Waterpark™.
Feel the pre-NYE buzz at Singapore’s famous bay in the weeks leading up to the big night. There’ll be a wide range of fringe activities to take part in, plus plenty of delicious food and drink to sample. Visitors can spend time with local street performers (don’t forget to take a selfie or two), play games at interactive booths, shop for gifts at the friendly stalls and refuel with snacks and hot drinks from the tempting pop-up booths. On New Year’s Eve, the city’s thrilling countdown event culminates with outdoor concerts by local and international artists, followed by sparkling pyrotechnics that will light up the city’s skyline at the stroke of midnight. Stake your place at a waterfront restaurant or bar in the Marina Bay area for front-row views of the lavish fireworks. Many of Singapore’s beloved night spots and dining dens will be throwing decadent New Year’s Eve parties and rolling out special menus and promotions. You could also head to popular public venues such as Gardens by the Bay, the Marina Barrage, the Esplanade or the Promontory, which are all ripe for firework fiestas.
